Goodbye.

This little blue guy was my dad's microwave when he drove truck over the road.....

I always loved it and when Jeremy and I got married my parents gave it to us to bring to SC. It's been comical when we have company over and they try to figure out what the weird blue thing on our counter is. My mom and I figured out the other night that it's about 14 years old...well, it decided it had lived long enough.

Any cheap (price but not quality) favorites out there?!

(P.S. Is it a sign that i've run out of things to blog about when I blog about my microwave???)

Old friends

We are fortunate enough to have Josh (seated on the left in the picture below) living right above us in our apartment complex but this past week Jeremy was lucky enough to be surrounded by multiple friends! His college roommate, Tyler (seated on the right) was able to come down and visit for the week from Ohio.

We had fun enjoying Charleston together!

And the guys, well...they will be guys : )

Although it was extra hard to get up for work every morning, I'm (again) thankful for my job that allowed them to have their time : ) Thanks again for making the trip Tyler and know you are always welcome!

Kitchen fun

I got the cooking bug this weekend and spent a fair amount of Saturday whipping up some deliciousness!

These tasty homemade granola bars are super delicious, simple and on the healthy side!

Jeremy actually found this delicious recipe. Sweet potato salad! We make it with spinach instead of kale and don't add any of the cheeses in so it's even more healthy!

These ooey gooey little bites were kind of an accident.

My first thought - peanut butter cookies.
My second thought - chocolate drizzle for the top.
My third thought - throw it all together in a muffin tin.

Ta-da!

Better late than never!

As I said, my parents came to visit us for our long 4th of July weekend. Ever since they left I have been having headaches almost every night, a few of which have wandered into migraine territory. Thankfully I still have my medication from my ER visit a while back which if I take before it actually becomes a migraine and am able to get to sleep, they seem to do the trick. So, here, finally are some pictures from our visit!

For the 4th we grilled burgers (organic = OH.EM.GEE. delicious!) with corn on the cob and of course, strawberry shortcake!

We love to play games, especially cards, but there aren't too many "2-player" games out there, so when we get company that's what we do most of the time!

Mom and I spoiled each other with some reflexology, too!

And I got spoiled with a little.....chop!

And of course, we enjoyed some delicious food : )

<3 Miles suck......

He helps it be okay though : )

Thanks again for coming Mom & Dad!

Say what?!

So, for the holiday weekend my parents came and visited us. It was an awesome unexpected trip which made our time from February to November a LOT more bearable! You are supposed to be seeing pictures from that visit this week, but I am fighting a little bug and also being blessed with some migraines, so instead - you got that awesome little announcement in this post and now you are getting a less awesome but pretty crazy announcement today....

Does it count as "going back to school" when you're only taking one class? Am I officially a college student again?!?!?!?

My class runs from the end of August to the middle of October, so hopefully i'll be taking my test before Thanksgiving!

GAH - how CRAZY....but exciting, too : )

Little blessings

On July 23rd of last year this little peanut was welcomed into our family - my brother and sister in law's first child...

And in January of next year we will have another little peanut join the Geiger family!

Congrats to Daddy & Mommy and big brother!

I am so excited for you guys and ecstatic to be an aunt for the 9th time!
