Our next surprise was going to visit the EdVenture Children's Museum! We have a children's museum here, but this one was recommended by a friend and is two stories of fun!
This guy was smack dab in the middle of the place. The stairs were right behind him to get up to the second floor and you could actually go inside of him to see his stomach and climb up to his heart and brain.
Seth spotted his shoe as soon as we walked in the door and was TERRIFIED. He was determined to go in any direction other than towards this guy and anytime we changed rooms he tipped toed around to make sure we weren't taking him to "the guy". Eventually we did have to go by him, but the only way was to have him close his eyes and I held him with his face hidden in my shoulder. We tried explaining to him that he wasn't real and that he wasn't going to move. Finally, towards the end of our day while he was playing with something else he just stopped and said "I want to go see the guy"! So away we went! I made a joke out of the fact that he had cookies in his belly and we went down the slide that was also in his belly. We ended up having fun with "the guy" - that is until we climbed up to his brain. Seth got up there first and immediately went into a panic. As I'm trying to squeeze up the child size stairway to find out what happened. Since we are inside of the body and now in the head, the first thing Seth saw when he got to the top of the stairs was his face - which looking at it from the inside of the body didn't have any skin on it, just these huge eyes. So we were done with that! I was still really proud of him for deciding he wanted to go check "the guy" out though! He had a big weekend of growing up between this and the pool! 3 days later and they are still traumatized though. Lucas will come up with littlest voice and just ask "the guy"? LOL Note: Lucas was not that scared of him, it was just influenced by brothers reaction!
Moving on. This was super cool & fun!
Then we went home.......
