Father's Day

We celebrated Jeremy's first Father's Day yesterday : ) We were hoping Seth would make it extra special by making his appearance, but we are still patiently waiting for him to come : )

So Jeremy has had this comforter since before I knew him and it traveled with us and became our bedspread after we got married as well. A few months ago I decided it was time for us to get a new one, so he helped me pick one out and one day while he was gone I made the switch out. He was pretty sad about it but the blanket went in the closet and he never brought it up again. Well, my mom actually gave me this great idea and my sister was able to make it actually happen.

He was a little confused opening up the package and just seeing his blanket in there!

But it had been cut to be the perfect throw blanket!

And a sweet miniature size one for his boy <3

Seth's has already been packed in the hospital bag and Daddy hasn't let go of his since : )

He is already looking forward to them taking naps together with their blankies : )

36 weeks

As I sit here typing this finding it hard to breath and my heartburn settling in, I feel nothing but blessed. Because those little uncomfortable feelings are absolutely insignificantly small compaired to the kicks and wiggles of our little boy inside of me. Sure i'm tired and starting to get a bit uncomfortable, but I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world - well, except to have him in my arms right now, but i'm trying not to rush that : )

I have been finding myself reminiscing lately, expecially since I haven't been working and have had some free time on my hands. Looking back at my life even just 5 years ago, I would have NEVER imagined I would be here today. Married to not only the love of my life but such a great man and about to have our first little one?! No way...I am completely undeserving of this blessed life. I am so thankful that the Lord has given it to me.

We had our 36 week checkup yesterday! At 36 weeks, 4 days I am measuring at 37cm. Seth's heartbeat was strong and fast at 140bpm and is still head down! AND, I am 1cm dilated! I know this is nothing to get excited about and that it could still be a very good while before we progress to anything, but I got a little excited about it! I am ready to meet our boy!

We have our maternity pictures tomorrow!
Happy Friday Everyone : )

Hospital bag

I know you are all wondering what I have packed in our hospital bag : )
(I'm mostly blogging this so I will remember for future reference)

1. Books for Jeremy and I; a notebook to take notes and write down important things I won't want to forget; thank you notes for the hospital staff; baby book for Seth's footprints; US picture for motivation along with a small dry erase/chalkboard easel for me to put a verse on.

2. Bathroom supplies; prenatal vitamins; breastpads & cream

3. Going home outfits for Seth along with socks, hats, pacifiers, swaddle blanket and a larger blanket

4. Snacks and fuel for Daddy

5. Clothes for Daddy

6. Phone charger; extention cord; camera with extra batteries; an extra bag for the things the hospital will send us home with; bag of miscellaneous things we may want or need - tylenol for Daddy, hand sanitizer, lotion, hair clips/ties, chapstick, cash for the vending machine or Chick-Fil-A; my wedding rings and I threw in a couple tennis balls after having some back pain last night.

There are a few other things that we will grab before we head out the door: My hairbrush and makeup (I know that may seem crazy but at some point i'm sure i'll want to feel good about how I look so I'd like to have it just incase). My large stuffed bear that my parents gave me when I was 18. Yes, I have a stuffed animal that is my go-to 'snuggle' when i'm not feeling well. Flip flops, which i'm sure i'll be wearing and slippers for Jeremy. And I still need to pick out what i'll want to have to wear home, but my clothes are pretty limited so i'm going to still need them for the next couple weeks!

He could be here anytime and we are officially ALL ready!

We are meeting his pediatrician today! : )

Spare bathroom

Our weekend was filled with a ton of shopping. I had put off grocery shopping for over a week so we went and did a massive amount of that which thankfully should get us through pretty close to Seth's arrival. After that we headed off to Target and Walmart to get the supplies that we needed for furnishing our spare bathroom and the things that we needed for our hospital bag!

Yesterday I tackled the bathroom...
I love having our bathrooms decorated with an inspirational verse. What a great way to start off each day while you're getting ready! Plus, I already had these decorations and they just happened to match pretty well : )

...it's all ready for our family to get here!

Today's task - putting our hospital bag together!
More on that tomorrow : )
