Our weekend

Our weekend started out rocky. Jeremy came home from work on Thursday feeling sick. He had a headache and had been nauseous since lunchtime. He immediately laid down and took a nap. I spent the evening with the boys, trying to have them keep their distance from him and as the night went on, I myself wasn't feeling the best. Long story short, we both were sick on Friday and pretty foggy from it on Saturday and Sunday. Thankfully, it was fast and spared both of the boys. We were then able to enjoy some time with friends on Monday!

Jeremy has just 3 more days of school, 2 of which are half days and then 2 teacher days and it's SUMMER!

A new look

Yesterday morning I got up and had the urge to do some rearranging! Seth's room was the scene for this. I had wanted to get the activity mat set up in the living room for Lucas to enjoy during the day, which meant I had to move Seth's house...

I love his new setup!

Our first week!

Well, we made it! Up until this point, we've either had visitors or Dada home, so this is when we really started adjusting to our new life during the day with just the boys and I.

Yesterday was the first day I could say was a "good day" and so far today is too : ) The first three days weren't awful, but we all had a lot of learning moments and Seth tested us more than usual. I think we are all adjusting well after some time though! Seth has remembered how to play by himself and is more understanding of the times I need to tend to Lucas.

Lucas is doing great - eating, sleeping and pooping a ton as expected. He is a very good boy, very easy. He loves to smile, "talk" and is already rolling from belly to back. Seth is still smitten by him. He jumps up every time he hears him squeak and doesn't like us to let him cry too much. He loves to give him hugs and kisses and always asks us to lay him on the floor or couch so he can lay next to him and stare at him. He loves to hold his hand and shockingly loves to share his puppy with him! I'm very thankful for the love he has for his brother. I know it could have gone a different way and I hope it stays like this forever!

Seth has grown a ton. I'm not sure if he really has or if it just seems that way since we have a little one around again. Everything is pretty much the same though. Still loves balls, being outside and stories. He loves to play in the dirt (I think from watching my parents and I plant the flowers). His vocab has grown a ton and he is putting together 2-3 word sentences - "Hi Da", "Bye Ma", "I did it". He loves animals and making their noises. We are still watching either the Lorax or Zootopia every morning. Although it's nice to have a little "slow" time first thing, I'll be happy when this stage ends and I can stop having the songs run through my head all day long! I'm anxious to see how he has grown at his next appointment and it's bittersweet to say I just ordered his second birthday party supplies! My how time flies.....

Our little guy turned a month old on Mother's Day, so of course we had to have a little shoot!

Just 13 more days of work for Dada!!!

My parent's visit

As always, we had a wonderful time.
Here's some of the moments I captured!

My parents got in late Friday night after Seth was already in bed. Saturday morning we hung out for a bit and then headed to our local farmer's market. Seth didn't even make it there without passing out. Too much excitement from seeing Ama and Bompa!

Special time with Ama...

We had a park day complete with ice cream.....

Unexpected nap times.....

Snuggles with their newest Grandchild...

Bompa even got in on the fun!

And I'm not even sure how it happened, but I got a new flowerbed too! This it the only before shot I have....

Jeremy and I dug them out a long time ago, but then they just sat their empty, collecting weeds.

And after!

I love this "grass"!
We also put some cedar chips around our two trees! I absolutely love it and can't wait for flowers to bloom and for it all to fill in! My parents love gardening and have green thumbs, so I was very thankful for their expertise because I doubt Jeremy and I would have gotten anything done there!

I'll have more pictures to post once my mom makes me a disc of the ones she took - including Lucas' dedication! We had such a great visit and as always, can't wait for the next time!
