Goodbye for now!

Well, we are pulling out this evening to head up to New York for 3 weeks! It's a little overwhelming to think about leaving for that long. I'm a bit scatterbrained this morning trying to think of everything I need to do and bring with us. But I couldn't be more excited to see family, especially my grandparents who we haven't seen in FAR too long! They will be our first stop : )

This morning we had Seth's 12-month checkup! He weighed in at 23lbs 1oz (he was 20lbs 1oz at 9 months) and measured 29.5 inches (he was 28 3/4). She was super impressed with his walking abilities, him saying "ma-ma", "da-da" and "ba-ba" and how much he is sleeping and eating : ) We talked about weaning him off the bottle and how he will probably be going down to one nap soon! When do things stop changing so much with our baby?!

Seth's First Birthday Party!

Since we'll be leaving for NY on the 9th and Seth's birthday fell on a Monday (and being a Holiday) we decided that we'd celebrate with his buddies on the 2nd. We knew a while ago that we'd be having a Daniel Tiger birthday theme! 

He woke up just as people were arriving, so he was glued to Dada for a little bit : )
