I'm officially on "Christmas vacation", so you'll see me back here in a few weeks with lots of family fun to share. From my family to yours, we hope you have a blessed holiday season!

8 months

I tried to prepare ahead of time so I could actually post on his 8-month "birthday"! I can't believe how fast time is going...

-Still loves food

-Nursing 3 times a day but shorter sessions

-Sleeps 12+ hours at night

-2 naps a day

-Starting to crawl on all 4's now

-Loves to "walk" around with us

-Babbling 'mama' and 'dada' - I'm not convinced it's real lol

-Smacking his lips with his fist to make that silly noise

-Found his voice 

-Loves to chase Seth around the house to play 

-Pretty sure he is a leftie!

We'll go back to the doctor in January to find out some new stats! Until then, here's hit cute little face!

I know his first birthday is right around the corner...

Books

Seth has always had a love for books but just here recently he has become even more obsessed. He will make a pile, sit and read them and go back for more. When it story time with Mama or Dada, we get a stack of at least 10 books unless we tell him otherwise. I absolutely love watching him go through the stories, especially when he acts them out. 

This is what he does when I say, "say cheese"...

I snagged this video of him the other day. I didn't know I had the flash on so don't mind his creepy eyes or the obnoxious dust hahaha

Big Boy!

One day last week as I was getting Lucas' mattress ready on our bedroom floor for nap time, Seth told me that he wanted to sleep there. So I went and put his mattress on his bedroom floor and asked if he wanted to sleep there or in his crib. He chose the mattress. We continued it since he had asked for it. He did super well and worked on not getting off the mattress without Mommy or Dada coming for him. So, since we already had his bed frame from a $20 facebook ad, we went ahead and amazon primed his mattress and some sheets to get everything set up! 

I can't believe my baby is in a big boy bed! He is doing very well. I've scared him by telling him that I'm watching him through the camera and that it is dangerous to get out of his bed without me. Now we are learning that we can't turn the light on and off a thousand times since he can reach the switch while in bed lol Most mornings I'm woken up by the boys talking to each other. Now that they can see each other, what fun they have. This weekend I heard them and checked the monitor. A couple minutes later I looked and Seth was out of his bed so I pressed the talk button and told him he'd better get back in. I see a blur on the screen and a little body flop down in the bed LOL Seth asks every night if baby can sleep with him! <3

I must have blogged more in November or taken less pictures because I don't feel like I have too many random ones to share! You can't ever see too much of a sleeping baby, though right?

It's Christmas time in the city!

Something new I did this year.....

Some of our new ornaments.....I had this one last year but I don't remember putting it on the tree. 

My Grandma had these when I was growing up and I told my mom that I wanted to start collecting them. I got these last Christmas along with the "Buffalo snow" and I couldn't wait to put them up this year!

The Zoo!

After our trip in July, we had decided that going to the Zoo over Thanksgiving break would be perfect. Less of a crowd and much cooler weather! So that's just where we headed on our first day of break!

Since it wasn't so hot, there were a lot more animals out for us to be able to see! This guy was prowling all around.

I don't think this guy was there last time unless we just missed him, but I thought he was absolutely adorable! 

He had the same favorites this time as he did last time. The elephants, giraffes and gorillas. This time he also wanted to go visit the fish and crocodiles multiple times. But this time when we went to see the gorillas he would not get down from Jeremy holding him. A little traumatized from last time I think! 

Lucas escaped in the aquarium and LOVED it!

We had a great time!
Seth asked every morning for the next 3 days if we were going back to see the elephants, crocodiles, giraffes and gorillas lol
