August!

We PACKED our last month of summer as full as it could fit! We started the month off by filling our freezer a bit!

Mia was not a fan of fresh corn for her first summer last year,
but this year she sure was!

😂😂😂

Forever asking for nail polish!

Rare, blissful, fleeting quiet moments LOL

Jeremy and I got to escape for a quick Anniversary celebration 🎉

We went shopping for dinner supplies and didn't look at price tags!

12 years my love ❤

She found a new friend at Walmart that was as big as her!

While the boys were at VBS we found a new playground with the girls.....a bit snug for Daddy, though LOL

Aldi came in hot with some cold brew foam!

Seth got to have some one-on-one time with Daddy. They went golfing, but Daddy isn't very good at remembering pictures LOL

Beach day!

Mia isn't a fan of pools because she can't control getting out/in and such, but she was loving the beach!

And then we portal-ed back to SC and got hit with a hurricane!

The road disappeared at the bottom
of the cornfield and our pool got very full!

A river grew on the other side of our driveway!

Checking things out.......

Got closer to the river on the other side of the driveway, attempting to go get the boys from VBS on closing night.....

It was intense! We barely made it to church when we got an alert to not travel and had a very difficult time making it back home again! The north country was not prepared!!!!! Thankfully we made it through with barely any water in our basement and had to go explore the next day.......

Before.......

Can you find the friend (not)!

Boys night!

Meanwhile inside.....

As we got ready for bed she asked if she could sleep with me and I figured why not, I didn't want to sleep alone either! LOL

I went out to check on things.....

And back inside again.......

I wish I started recording a minute earlier....
the stories their shadows were telling LOL

Jeremy always says he can tell when the boys' cups are full when they wander off and go swing and talk for an hour.......

So then he can.......

Next up it was Kylie's turn for Daddy!

She loves being the captain!

The boys got to have time with Mommy & Daddy
- our annual mini golf trip!

They think that this hole-in-one shot means it doesn't matter how many tries it takes you, if you put it in this hole you get 1 point LOL They will shoot it back up if it goes past just to get it in the yellow tube! Someday we will teach them correctly LOL

Meanwhile the girls were living their best life!

The boys had been asking for a long time,
so we taught them real monopoly!

(Peep Kylie's hand gestures in the background
of Mia making a pocket out of her shirt LOL)

And it was soccer month!

(Seth is in the blue shorts)

(Lucas has the high black socks on)

Time for Kylie & Mommy to go on an adventure
.......and we had to buckle baby in!

She asked for pizza and salad!

Leave Daddy in charge.....😂

Some days you just need to get out of the house! So we took a drive to Plattsburgh for Daddy's work shoes and some exploring.......

We walked by Claire's and Kylie said "oh they have a lot of Kylie things!" It was a wonderful experience for both of us LOL

We settled on some new finger nail polish!

When Jeremy cut the tree down Lucas found a perfect piece of wood to paint a rainbow (no surprise there)!

Cheesy noses!

We gave the kids huge pieces of paper with markers and animals and told them all to build us a zoo.......we really thought it would have occupied them for longer than it did if I'm being honest 😂

Lucas' turn to hit some balls with Daddy!

Peep the feet hanging through the railing! The girls (yes both of them) ask to listen to "These are the days" MULTIPLE times a day! Mia even sings it in her bed ❤

Then the boys went on a fishing adventure!

Meanwhile back at home.......

After Mia went down for a nap, Kylie and I snuggled up for another epic moment.......CINDERELLA!

😂😂😂😂😂

A couple spots on our porch have been rotting and drawing the kids' attention to pick at them and make it worse, so Jeremy replaced them.......

I thought for sure I had broken the top knuckle to my toe that they
already surgically fixed the bottom knuckle on
....thankfully it has gotten better!

Daddy had to fit in one more golf game for his summer so the kids and I busted out of the house.......

Seth and Lucas did a lap around the football field!

(and then Lucas did it a second time with Kylie and I)

Goodbye sweet, sweet summertime!

Shewy! Our busiest summer to date, which I'm sure I'll keep saying as the kids get older. Our week of adjusting to daddy back to work went fairly well but this Mommy is on the STRUGGLE bus since we have added in our own school routine. But we are only one week in so I'll give myself grace and hopefully my September post has better news! 😂
