Here's our August!
For our anniversary, the boys went off to Beba & Bompa's.....
We had some time with the girls.....
& then we had fun!
Course 1: Charcuterie with margs
Course 2: Tequila sunrise
(which was better stirred)
.....with grilled cheese tacos filled with steak and mexican street corn
There was a course 3 but we were getting full, so we moved on to course 4: chocolate covered strawberries with espresso martinis!
We had a part 2 celebration for dinner the next night! Bacon filet with asparagus, mac n' cheese leftovers and whiskey sours!
Time for fishing to get crossed off the summer list!

Seth went to "basketball camp" where we LEFT him (for the first time everrrrrrr) for the whole morning, Monday-Friday! Every day someone earned a gatorade so he was pretty stoked to have "won" one day!
Kylie told me one day "My foot is all better, can we take the boot off?" So we made a countdown chain for our doctor appointment!
Bompa gave away his TY collectibles!
(Lucas got one too, he just didn't want a picture LOL)
We all made it through basketball week! LOL

Since the boys had a sleepover on our Anniversary, the girls asked to have one, too. We decided we'd go for it because sleepovers for them in the past never went well and it's something they should be used to for when we need it! This turned into an impromptu date with the boys!
When I got back from dropping the girls off all the boys were wearing a red shirt, so I threw one on!
& a movie night!

I looked out of the kitchen window one day
and saw Slinger had come to say hello!
The last two weeks of summer are crunch time! Time for a golf date with my parents that we planned back at Father's Day LOL
Every time my mom would hit her ball and then I would, my ball would go right where hers was - and vice versa when I went first, too! LOL
& then this happened when we were all putting LOL
Leaving Mia was iffy but she couldn't care less when I got back home 😂
Our church had a "water fun day" for the boys so we took the girls to the Children's Museum.....
& some ice cream 😎

It was truly just one adventure after another all month.....😬🙄

& while the boys are away, the girls will play!

Daddy & I did batch #2 because I couldn't stare at all the apples that were still left at the top of the tree knowing they would go to waste (we can't eat them fast enough once they drop).
We had a sick bystander getting fresh air and stealing apples!
Goodbye summer!
The kids had shared their germs (a great way for Mommy & Daddy to start the school year), but we weren't going to miss out on our last night of summer! Daddy said it was the best summer ever and I have to agree! Not being a slave to anybody, school work or job schedules is absolutely indescribable! Being with my best friend every single day? 👐 I know we get it good in the summer but when reality hits in the fall, it's HARD!
