Nursery post #2

We finally got the final touches done on the nursery! Other than waiting for a few things to come in the mail Seth's room is only missing one thing - HIM!

This is the last week of work for both Jeremy and I, so we are greatly looking forward to the time we will have together before he comes, but we are also getting a little impatient! I get emotional every time I think about seeing his sweet little face and I simply can't wait for my family to be together!

My Update's Update...

Our beautiful baby boy is doing just fine : )
He is measuring 3 days ahead of schedule at 35 weeks. What a silly tape measure LOL He is in the 41.4 percentile with everything and weighing approximately 5.5 pounds. Fluid level is normal and he is head down! I saw him breathing and drinking the fluid : ) How cute?! And as you can see, he still loves to have his little hand up by his face and gave us a little smirk : )

I was a little anxious about today and whether or not we would be meeting him early, but I just can't wait to see that face and hold him in my arms!

Update

Just a quick post both for my "records" and for prayers! I had my 34 week appointment yesterday and upon measuring my fundal height she found me to be at 30cm. She first said he could be laying transverse which would affect the measurement but then she found his heartbeat to be in the head down position. She asked me when we last looked at him and I told her not since our 20 week anatomy scan so she told me that she wanted me to schedule a growth ultrasound as soon as possible. She said she wasn't concerned but the panic mommy part of me read her face differently. She said if she was concerned she would be sending me to the hospital to be induced, which I can't say made me feel any better! I may say I'm ready but i'm not THAT ready! The weirdest part to me is that at my 31 week appointment I was measuring 32cm. I'm not sure how I could have gone backwards! I was able to schedule an ultrasound for tomorrow at 11:30 so I'm thankful we don't have to wait too long. He has been moving around normally and his heartbeat was good yesterday so I'm holding on to all of that and trying to get through today!

Decorations

Our memorial day weekend was busy, but relaxing. We got a lot accomplished. We had a little bit of a bug issue last week so Saturday morning I got up and deep cleaned the whole apartment. Then I finally went through our huge pile of decorations and pulled out which ones I wanted to use, get rid of, store away, etc. When Jeremy got home from playing football he helped me hang everything up!

The bathroom stayed about the same...

The bedroom...

& the living room...
(I'll be hanging family pictures on the line with clothes pins)

We still have the kitchen to do, but that is a little bit of a bigger job. Seth's room got some attention this weekend as well. It's just about done! I can't wait to get an updated post for you : ) I have one more wall to do and i'm waiting for my Target and Amazon order to get in and then besides packing our bag and installing the carseat we will be all set! It's crazy to think that in just 6 short weeks he will be in our arms!

I hope you all had a great weekend filled with fun, family and relaxation!

Nursery Post #1

I know everyone has been anxiously awaiting pictures of Seth's room. Although it is completely bare, I will at least share the furniture part to hold you over until I get the decorations done!

The mirror will be going above the changing table...

I may end up putting the rocking chair next to the crib, I can't decide where I like it better. Above his crib will be going his name. I'm going to try to hang his letters from a branch of some type to go with the owl theme, but i'm not sure where or if I'll be able to find the branch I'm thinking of.

His closet is fully stocked!
(Grandma, those are your socks hanging on the basket waiting for you : )

His bathroom is fully stocked as well...

Now that I have his room completely organized and set up, I can focus on decorating....his room and the rest of the apartment! I'm such a slacker these days!

Blessed

Last week was just one of those weeks. I woke up one day with this random dry, tickly throat that left me with a very annoying cough. Thank you Seth for my first experience with allergies this year! Then my lovely pregnancy brain had me buying a facewash that I am allergic to which left me with an allergic reaction that had me wanting to itch the skin off of my neck. Between those two things and what I'm assuming is just pregnancy, I wasn't getting hardly any sleep. But the weekend rolled around and it was simply wonderful. The weather was absolutely beautiful, my husband was home, I was feeling better and feeling blessed.

We finally got Seth's furniture put together!

Our new to us rocker that just needs some new padding!

Our beautiful stroller/carseat!

My future sleepless nights will be spent tackling this pile...

...and this pile! (finally got our new TV stand put together, too)

That stack of decorations has been hiding in Seth's room, but now that it's in the living room I will be more apt to actually do something with them! The pile in Seth's room has grown already since that picture as we were blessed with another shower on Sunday with our wonderful church family. Have I said blessed yet in this post? I ordered a cubicle storage unit for his closet that will help me organize things a bit better once it arrives, as well as his crib mattress and bedding set! I'm so very excited to start finding a home for everything and getting his room put together and decorated : ) We are in the single digits for weeks now - 31 weeks done, 9(ish) to go!!! Jeremy told me this weekend that he is excited to be a dad, my heart is already melting as I picture my two boys <3
