Our latest Zoo trip

Seth asks every single day to go to the Zoo so we figured since it's been 3 months since our last visit, it was time to say yes! We made the mistake of telling him the night before, so as soon as his eyes opened he wanted to head out the door.....

We learned that going on a hot day in the summer and during Thanksgiving break are much better than a Saturday in the Spring! But even if the crowd was large, we still had a blast and got a kick out of Lucas' reactions, too. His newest thing is to say "Ooooooooo" at everything, so he really enjoyed some of the exhibits. 

The giraffe's were being fed so we got up close to them!

I'd say it was a success!

10 Months!

Our little man hit his 10 month mark on Valentine's Day!

As you can see he is not lacking in nutrition. He decided Mommy was a better chew toy than milk machine so after a few days of biting me while nursing, we have resorted to pumping and bottle feeding.  I would rather give birth than to feel that ever again! He loves Seth and anything that he is doing or playing with. He thinks he is big stuff and always wants to be included with Dada and Seth. Speaking of big boy, he now has a Camelbak cup like Seth and I think he would drink water all day long out of that if I let him. He has taken a step but we scared him so bad he won't do it again. He loves to take off with anything he can use as a walker though. He has the best giggle and loves to play peak-a-boo or "come and get me". He doesn't really have any favorites of anything. He is very easy going and will play with anything! I can't believe the next time we go to the doctors he will be a year old and the first birthday party planning has already begun.......

Finally Decorated!

Hobby Lobby is a dangerous place for me to go. I could spend hours just walking around browsing (which is what I did this weekend) and I could also spend a TON of money! I am a sucker for knick-knacks and signs with cute sayings on them - which is exactly what that store is full of! 

After a week of being cooped up in the house, I took off for some quiet time while the boys (all 3 of them) took a nap. Thankfully, I had some birthday gift cards left so I figured it would be safe for me to go. I got a few treasures that filled in the empty spaces we had left to decorate and I am in love with them all!

One on one

The only thing I miss since becoming a Mom of two, is that one on one time. I miss it for Seth since he was used to having all of me and I wish it for Lucas since he never got to experience that. It's hard for me to find time to give that to Lucas, but now that Seth's therapy sessions are longer we will get to have a little bit of it. Jeremy's also planning on taking Seth to the aquarium this weekend so that will give them time and Lucas and I time. But anyways, when Lucas takes his morning nap Seth and I are able to have some time. Normally we get his speech box out and do those activities, but sometimes we mix it up and just have some fun! The last time we went grocery shopping Seth asked for some blueberry muffins, so that's just what we did. I think I might start letting him pick out one thing to make together at each shopping trip <3 

I hope he knows just how much he's loved 😘

We've had a couple incidents in the house that have shown us the previous owners took a lot of shortcuts when installing things. A vent fell out of the kitchen ceiling because one of the screws wasn't even going into anything and then this happened one day when Seth shut the bathroom door. Thank God it didn't come all the way down on him.....

Thanks to my handy husband it looks better than it ever did!
