Lucas' gifts

Lucas was certainly spoiled for his big day! This cow showed up from his Aunt Amanda and my city boy did NOT (and still doesn't) like him......

Big brother has enjoyed him though!

Grandpa & Grandma sent this activity cube after he has become obsessed with the one at Seth's therapy office.......

And we finally had good weather this weekend to give him our present.......

And for some reason, playing with nature and watering trees becomes more fun that the toy itself!

I can't believe it's May already and I can't believe you are one sweet boy. It does not seem that long ago that I was unbelievably uncomfortable and going to the hospital every other day thinking you were making your appearance. You certainly are a little spit fire already, but we LOVE you!

Stats & pics.....

The last monthly sticker.....

Lucas had his well visit yesterday.  He weighs 22 pounds 12 ounces and is 29 inches long (at 9 months he was 20 pounds 8 ounces and was 27.5 inches). He passed his sight and hearing tests and had his hemoglobin, lead and iron levels tested which all looked good. He handled those foot pricks like a champ but not so much for the 3 shots. We definitely have another little one that is obsessed with his snuggy. Thank God for Aunt Sarah finding those gems because I don't think either one of my boys would make it through their hard times without them. We still aren't used to seeing his little body walk around the house. It is so crazy to me that it's been a year and that we now have two boys running around, but I can't wait to see what the next year brings!

Happy Birthday!

Life is hectic right now. We thought last semester was rough, but as this one draws to a close I feel like we are trying our best to stay afloat while so many different things are throwing balls at us. I wouldn't want to be going through this crazy life with anyone else by my side though. You handle it all like a champ and somehow manage to keep me from ripping my hair out, too. You juggle teaching, lesson planning, grad school, homework and final projects all while being an incredible Dada and an amazing husband. You make me want to be a better me.

I know we won't get to celebrate too much right now, but the boys and I love you so much and couldn't be more proud of or thankful for all you do for us! *cough, cough*  This will also be the second time in our marriage that you will come home to find the vacuum sitting on the porch containing a critter :) Happy Birthday!!!

Lucas turned ONE!

On Saturday (Lucas' actual birthday) we had a party with all his little buddies! It's was the perfect day!

Look at this tiny peanut!

It didn't take long after everyone left.....

Thank you to all who came to celebrate our boy!
