Our last zoo trip (as SC residents)....

Now to backtrack a little bit! Our June was a super crazy month as we prepared to say goodbye to our home. We of course had to fit in one last trip to the zoo before it became a super far away destination. We especially had to once they added a dinosaur exhibit and because of that, we had to bring along our dino loving best friends!!!

The baby lions don't look like babies anymore!
(PS - I literally take pictures of the same animals every time.....)

We don't see this big guy in the water very often!

Once again, these guys had my full attention.....

As if this wasn't bad enough.....

😳😳BABIES😳😳

The last time we saw dinosaurs at a zoo it was for Seth's 3rd birthday. He was terrified so we weren't sure how it was going to go this time. We prepped him the whole way and reminded him that even if they dinosaurs moved or made a noise that it was just computers inside of them because they weren't real. He walked through the whole park and wasn't scared in the least bit. When we got out he looked at me and said "Aren't you proud of me, Mommy?" 💕

I've never seen a flamingo egg before!!!

It has only been a month, but being far away from our buddies has been incredibly difficult (I think maybe just for Mommy since the boys have cousins and Grandparents to give them much attention). I'm so thankful for the countless memories we made before we left and I know the foundation we made with our true, real life friends, will last the distance.

Part 2!

We had a low key celebration with Grandparents. We moved just two weeks prior to his birthday and then I was gone the week prior for my trip, so it just worked out best and he still loved every minute of it. He requested a crocodile cake, star balloons --- and presents! LOL

I am SO mad at myself for not having the camera rolling at this point instead of taking pictures. How are you to know, right? As soon as he saw what it was through the paper (wild kratt toys) he YELLED clear as day, "OH MY GOD IT'S WILD KRATTS!"

A card he got in the mail from his little buddy in SC was one of his favorites. He asked me if he could keep it and hold it forever ❤

Amazon has not been kind to my mom, so her presents weren't there in time - but that just means his celebrations were spread out!!!

This is the coolest little game!

His birthday wasn't quite the same without a party with all his buddies, but this is the first time in his 4 years that we've been able to do a party surrounded by family --- and for that, for him, I am thankful ❤
Happy 4th Birthday Monkey!!! We love you!
