For Christmas, I got Jeremy Florida Georgia Line tickets so this past weekend we took of for Virginia for a little getaway! They are coming to SC in April, but it's right in the middle of Jeremy's state testing week, so I didn't think that would work out too well!
Besides the hotel, one of our favorite parts of traveling is finding fun food! We had planned on stopping at a Man vs Food joint for lunch but we realized it was way too far out of our way. So, I googled places to eat in Asheboro, NC. We got off in search of one place, but weren't able to find it, so we stumbled upon this little pizza joint -
boy was it yummy!!!
When we got to Charlottesville, VA we checked into our hotel and then took off for Red Robin! That was a surprise for Jeremy, too even though he guessed it! We haven't been there since he was in school in Ohio and it is one of our favorite places! After dinner we left straight for the concert. We got stuck in a bit of traffic and missed a bit of the opening act, but we didn't mind because we just wanted to see FGL!
We did catch a little bit of Thomas Rhett though - he was great!
Waiting for FGL to set up - when I saw this I just thought it was a bird and didn't give it another thought until Jeremy was like "Ooooooh, I get it now!" ; )
We were very impressed with their performance!
I took videos of their opening and closing acts as well as some of their more "popular" songs, but for some reason they are just black screens with the music playing : (
On our way home we went a little different way so that we could hit this Man vs. Food joint - what delicious BBQ!
So thankful for the chance to getaway with my husband. I thank God for him and the life we have every day <3
