3 months!

This summer is absolutely flyyyyying by! Lucas is talking up a storm and has recently become ticklish and found his giggle. He is desperately trying to sit up every time we put him down somewhere. We are just about to move him into 3-6 month clothes because of his length, but his little tummy still has him in size 1 diapers for now. He is sleeping through the night, but as Mommy remembers from Seth, it will take her time to not wake up in a panic every few hours to check on him!

He loves:
The living room clock
Being held
His big brother
Drooling
His hands

This face!

You won't "see" me for a few weeks, so here's a few candid shots of what's been going on around here!

We have a "pet" bunny!

Being squirrely!

"See" you in August!

Energy Bites

I don't know about y'all, but when it's un-Godly hot outside, I don't have a huge appetite. When I do want to eat, I certainly don't want it to be anything warm and I don't want it to be anything heavy. Add in trying to lose the last bit of Lucas left on me and I'm in love with this recipe!

https://www.gimmesomeoven.com/no-bake-energy-bites/

I tweak the recipe just a tad. Instead of coconut I do chopped almonds and instead of chocolate chips I do dried cranberries. I also find the ratio to be off a bit. I typically do a triple batch, but need to add an additional 1-2 cups of oatmeal to make the consistency correct. Lastly, I find that rolling them immediately is much easier, then let them set in the fridge and get a bit stiff.

If you're looking for something healthy, crunchy and satisfying - give these guys a try! We have them for breakfasts or snacks!

Lions, Tigers & Bears, Oh My!

Or as Seth would say, Elephants & Gorillas!

Like I said previously, we headed to the Zoo on Seth's big day since we had previously celebrated with friends over the weekend.

The day was absolutely perfect! It was super cloudy when we first got there and the humidity level was very low. The only time we ever noticed a crowd was when we went inside for the aquarium section!

He loved these guys way too much!
He cried when we made him leave the exhibit!

They were very stinky!

I think they were one of his favorites! We went back multiple times...

He did NOT like the gorillas being able to come right up to the glass. He went running to Jeremy and every day over and over again will tell you that the gorillas were very scary and Dada saved him.

To say he had a blast would be an understatement. There were tears when it was time to go! We are thinking about a Thanksgiving trip when the weather is cooler and there probably won't be much of a crowd again!
