March!

We had a busy month! Much of it I've already blogged on, so I don't have too many random pictures to share with you, but there's always some extra cuteness laying around!

Some Saturday mornings just call for donuts!

This kid has become obsessed with helping me in the kitchen and he has a strange love for GREEN peppers. Don't try to give them to him on his plate for a meal though...only when he steals them from being cooked.

Jeremy is the chex mix to my pretzels.....

And with visitors en route, it always calls for some cleaning and rearranging to make the soul feel good.....
(Don't panic...it is very sturdy up there!)

My parents will be arriving tonight - so I'll "see "you all in a couple weeks! Happiest Easter wishes - we love you!

Lucas is 11

This happened without me even realizing it!

Our pictures got cut short this time around since big brother is potty training, but his cute little butt doesn't like to sit still these days anyways so I had to delete the other 20 that were a blurry blob!

It makes my heart sad to think that the next time I do this it will be for his birthday. Man, I thought time flew by for Seth --- it's going even faster with this one! The milestones are being hit faster, the stages come and go before I even realize what's going on. This sweetheart loves his Momma and I'm soaking it up. Thanks to the influence of his big brother we are already seeing some fantastic two-year-old-ness in him and he loves to push Seth's buttons. But oh what fun they have together that leaves Jeremy and I sitting, watching and smiling. I pray their bond lasts forever and grows stronger and deeper as the years go by.

I don't really think much has changed with him in the past month other than his personality growing. He can take 3-4 steps at a time and although he is getting braver, most of the time he just refuses to all together. He can shake his head no and makes the most entertaining sound effects. He loves walker toys (even toys that aren't walker toys are used to walk with) and to push trucks along the floor. He loves to throw stories off the bookshelf and play with anything that will make noise. Rolling balls back and forth is a nightly routine and he is head over heels for his paccy and elephant stuffy.

We sure love you baby boy!

Sister time!

Some of you might not know that I have a little sister - well, meet Sam! We've know each other since she was a little girl and our relationship has bloomed from babysitter, to sister, to friend. And when you get a phone call from them in need, nothing else takes priority in that moment and you do whatever you need to for them. That's what happened last week and resulted in her coming to SC for a visit!

I think I can speak for both of us and say it was a mutual blessing. Jeremy just happened to be going on a business trip so I would have been alone. We needed each other and we had an amazing week. We laughed, we cried, we shared, we grew.

Cheers to kicking the next 2 months in the butt, having an amazing summer and to what the future has in store! I'm so proud of you!

An update on Seth

It's been about a month and a half since I last blogged about my big guy. Oh how he pushes my buttons and pulls at my heart, sometimes all at the same time! I wish he could stay little forever. It makes my heart ache to think of him growing up and not wanting the snuggles anymore.

The last time we "talked" we were moving into having sessions twice a week and I asked for prayer for the financial burden it would be for us. Since then, the financial burden is gone! Praise the Lord. Seth's sessions are 100% paid for and not only that, he also gets to have two one-hour sessions a week! We have only been doing that for about 2 weeks now but my what a difference it has already made. We can see it at home and his therapist can see it during his sessions. If I wasn't sure we were doing the right thing before, I sure am now. All of the little pieces that came together so quickly in just the past month have given me peace. Seth cheers when we pull into the parking lot for his sessions - I mean, what more could a mom ask for?!

He has so much more confidence and really tries to say the things we ask him to. When we used to ask him to say something it would automatically be some type of noise or hum versus trying to say a letter. He is even working on saying "Seth Kyle" which for now is just "Se Ky" but this Momma will take it! His newest words are Puppy, Zebra, Peacock and Hi. Once he gets a word, we demand that word. If he retreats back to his old noise, instead of having to mimic the word for him again we can just say "Wait, what is that?" and he will correct himself. Our days can still be long and frustrating, but I know God loves him even more than I do (which seems so crazy) and has GREAT things in store for his future <3

Thank you to all who continue to pray and support us!
