Festival of Lights!

Now that Thanksgiving is over (not that I was wishing it away), it is OFFICIALLY okay for me to start celebrating Christmas : ) (Although I already have been for a couple months now) So, this past weekend we went and saw the Charleston Festival of Lights! We tried to go last year, but we waited until too close to Christmas, on a weekend, later in the evening, and got caught in like a 2 mile line, waiting. So, it didn't happen LOL

Here are some pictures! My phone did a better job than my camera, but still not the greatest quality...

(thought of you with this one, Mom)

(the woman who lived in a shoe....)

(Humpty Dumpty)

I think this one was my favorite : )

This one was really cool, too! They had all the animals lined up, 2 by 2...

(I thought of you with this one, Jonathan)

All of the planets and an alien...Jeremy, our science teacher, was very offended by this layout ; )

Lovebirds  teeter-tottering : )

....there was one that said "and to all a good night" but the cars going in the opposite direction blocked my picture : )

Yay Christmas-time!!!

Thanksgiving '13

For our second Thanksgiving in a row, we stayed in South Carolina. Only 4 days off from work doesn't really leave enough time to travel all the way to New York. Last year it was just the two of us, but this year we had 3 friends come over for dinner. We had a blast! Good food, friends, games and laughs. We are very thankful for those we have met while being here.
We also had a furry little friend to keep us company. Our church's youth pastor and his wife have family out of town, so whenever they travel, we get to "Brady-sit" : ) Our apartment doesn't allow us to have pets, so it's our chance to get our pet fix! I think if we were able to sneak him back home, we would have! We miss our Brady time!

"It's time to wake up, guys!"
Every time there is an animal of any kind on the TV, he attacks.....

: )

We hope you all had a blessed holiday with friends and family!

Decorations ~

You know, you see these great decorations on Pinterest, that send you to a link on Etsy where you have to pay around $30 for the paper itself, no frame included....

...but in reality, you can make it yourself for less than half that price!!!

It's beginning to look...

Okaaaaay, not really...
especially in South Carolina where it is a lot hotter than it is supposed to be in October.

BUT IT'S COMING!!!

Now I know what all of you are thinking.
Halloween and Thanksgiving aren't even here yet!?!?!?

But my boss, who shares in my early onset Christmas spirit, came up with a wonderful come back for all of you grinches....
Does Jesus only deserve one day of celebration?!?
Come on now! :D
hahaha

Happy Monday!!

My bad!

How terrible am I.
It has been a month since I posted anything.

Whoopsie!

So, the house is put together, everything is where it is supposed to go, except the walls are bare.

LOL

You will get your pictures once that problem is fixed!
I have been saying that I need to get things hung, etc so that I can justify buying fall decorations, but I think I am going to hold off until it's time for Christmas decorations, because, well, Christmas just rocks. But don't worry, I will decorate and post pictures before Christmas! LOL

Things have been going well here, though! We are super happy in our new little home. It is smaller, but all that we need. All that the other apartment had that this one doesn't, we never used anyways! It is more convenient for Jeremy's work and not a huge pain for me to go to work. Traffic for the most part isn't too bad. I have been working a lot, which has been nice, love me some babies : ) But, the best update of all is that Jeremy absolutely LOVES his job!!! Oh how happy that makes me as his wife. Apparently between 6th grade and 8th grade, something scary happens to children. HA! These little guys absolutely love him and get so excited about every little thing that he does with them. He doesn't dread going to work every day and gets so excited when he thinks of an activity for them. I love hearing his stories when he comes home every night and i'm pretty sure every little 6th grade girl has a crush on him ; )

Other than that, not too much is new. We are impatiently awaiting Christmas, babies to be born and honeymoon planning is officially underway! : )

Good times to come...
...pictures too I promise! LOL
