Off to Aunt Sarah's!

It's become a new "tradition" to stop and see my sister whenever we are headed North. Although being together with family is the best, it's always so nice to have the one on one time. I, again, can't say how thankful we are for Seth. He fell asleep in the car leaving my Grandparents. When we got to my sisters I got him out and laid him down in her pack-n-play and he went right back to sleep. When he woke up in the morning, he didn't cry. Sarah went to go get him and although confused, he was just fine! 

 Especially once he met Molly....his new best friend! 

We skyped with Sarah the other day and she put the video to Molly. Seth tried so hard to crawl into the computer and started bawling when Sarah took the camera off of Molly. It was the saddest thing, but also pretty cute! Aunt Sarah thinks she will always be the favorite since she owns Molly : ) 

Grandma would be proud, we did foot rubs!

Uncle Jonathan, Aunt Liz & More!

While in Western NY and visiting my Grandparents, we also got to head over to my brother's. We got to see their new house and spent some time with family. 

Jonathan's new trick...

I'm thankful there is nowhere at our house for him to do this...

They invited my Uncle Ronnie & Aunt Monnie over for supper which was a great treat! It's been too, too long since we have seen them! 

After dinner, Jonathan got all the extra chairs together to take out to the porch. Daniel quickly went over to help his Dad and what do you know, Seth went and grabbed the chairs to help, too! A little blurry, but what a sweet moment! 

There's never enough time, but I'm so thankful for the bit that we got! 

Great Grandma & Grandpa

I'm embarrassed to say how long it's been since we've been able to get to my Grandparents house. They came up for our wedding which was a short & busy visit and then we went and saw them when my nephew was born, again a short & busy visit. We had plans to go see them at Christmas last year, but Seth got sick and we though it would be better to just head straight home with him. So, when our summer plans started unfolding, we knew that they needed to be our number one priority! I'm so thankful that we were able to make it and Seth was able to not only meet, but have the best time with his Great-Grandparents! 

We had to go out and swing in "the swing" : ) This used to be one of my favorite things at Grandpa & Grandma's house growing up! Oh who am I kidding, it still is! 

He got to meet Tish : ) 

Grandpa pulled out his old pictures and shared some great memories! 

Oh the deer....Seth became a little obsessed with this little friend. After every nap, meal, etc - he had to go running into the living room to make sure he was still there. They had many "conversations" : ) 

The little smarty pants also realized there were deer on the blanket, so he became attached to that as well! 

And then there's the clock! 

And the goose : ) 

And a trip next door to the park....

We tried putting him down the slide alone and he was NOT a fan! 

  

I'm not sure where this came from, but he began an obsession with having something in his mouth and in each hand while we were there....it has continued on since then!

It was so fun watching him experience all of my childhood memories! Thanks for having us Grandpa & Grandma! We love you & already look forward to the next time! 

I'm baaaaack!

Our 3-week vacation to New York has come to an end. I can't even begin to describe what an amazing time we had and how bittersweet it was to come home. We were ready. There's something about not being home that makes you want to go home, especially after 3 weeks. But when you know that means being 16 hours away from family, it makes going a little bit harder. 

Seth was an absolute rock star and that's putting it mildly. He slept so well in the car and then at each new place he woke up/went to bed at, he didn't have a care in the world. I'm so thankful for our easy going boy. He makes life fun and crazy. 

There are, of course, a million pictures that need sorting and editing. I hope to get to that this week and start sharing them with you guys soon! But, for now, we are just enjoying our last week of summer vacation. Jeremy has to go back to work on Monday. I'm not sure who is more sad about this. I think once he realizes it, Seth will be devastated. He has become quite attached to his Dada and usually needs to be able to see both of us at all times right now. We went shopping for back-to-school clothes which was long overdue and celebrated our Anniversary yesterday. Just a quite, in-home date night after Seth went to bed. We had a nice date while in NY, revisiting our first date spot and reminiscing about the "old days", so we kept is simple with chinese food and redbox. I'm so thankful Jeremy gets me. There is a time and place for a nice date night out on the town, but there is something to be said for a quiet date night at home, too. 

Well, I'm off to get caught up on some things.
