2 months!

Has it really been two whole months already!? Part of it feels like it's been longer, part of me feels like I was miserably pregnant last week. We went to the doctor yesterday and he weighed in at 11 pounds 1 ounce and measured 22 inches long! He is pretty close to what Seth was, but it blows my mind that he has gained that much! I was thinking he'd be 8 or 9 pounds! He got his first round of shots which had us both in tears <3

If he had his own way he would be held 24/7. He isn't the biggest fan of laying down on his back or belly to play, although he will for short periods of time, especially if we are down there with him. We got him a little exersaucer/seat to play in since he loves to stand up on us and he has been getting used to that. He also enjoys sitting in his bumbo seat like a big boy! He is finding his voice more and more every day and loves to smile at us! He loves his pacifier and has also found his hands/fingers lately so we will see if anything becomes of that.

All in all he is a very happy boy, eating and sleeping well and loved by all of us (and everyone who meets him)!

And just in case anyone wondered if he truly belongs to our family....here's a throwback to Seth at 2 months!

Mother's Day was extra special - getting to dedicate Lucas!

I have no idea what's going on here...

Is it Christmas yet???

Prayer request

As the school year comes to an end, you'd think we would be skipping through the daisies with excitement about getting Dada for the summer. Although we are, Jeremy got some pretty crappy news last week at work.

His principles had talked to him a couple times about switching classrooms and it was something he was open to, but he told them he really just wanted/needed to get through his masters degree before he took that on. Well, long story short - they are making him move.

We are pretty frustrated and upset about this for multiple reasons but at the end of the day, it is what it is and there's nothing we can do. We would deeply appreciate your prayers leading up to and during the next school year though.

On top of being an incredible Dada, supportive husband and tackling his Master's degree, he will now have to prepare and teach a whole new curriculum for 7th and 8th grade science. Please pray for strength for both of us. I know he is determined and his drive will make him 100% successful, but I also know it won't be easy.

If we weren't already on the countdown for summer 2018,
we sure are now!

Candids

A bunch of random cuteness from the last month for your Friday! : )

These first two are actually a little old...we had to put all the cushions on the floor and then he chose to sit there...

Because playing with it the right way is boring...

Some shots from our beach visit a few weeks ago...

He has gotten so big since this!

We have the best Dada around here!

Getting creative on rainy days...

Lots of brotherly love...

And lots of naps for this peanut...

Happy Friday!!!!!
