Ohio 2024!

Nothing like a big trip to motivate a vehicle clean! Everything got taken out, vacuumed, put back together (in a whole new way) & the middle seats got left out so that Nala would have a nice area to lay...

First stop was in western NY to see my brother
and go to our family reunion!

Solomon wasn't sure about this man holding him 😂

Cousins! ❤❤❤

Onto our next leg!

We made it to our friends in Ohio, settled in and then headed off to the zoo on our first full day!

Score 1 for Lucas' favorites!

Mia truly didn't know what to think of this place 😄 She was very hesitant to get close to anything - even glass tanks.

Score 1 for Seth's favorites!
Stay tuned for our komodo dragon story ❤

He was hiding in the back but came out to say hi to us!

Eagles zoomed in the back!

Score one for Mommy's favorites!!!

Lemur spotting!

Another score for Seth! We didn't expect to find a second one but we found this big guy in one of the tunnels!

It's hard to tell from the picture but if you see the sunlight marks and follow it up until it's not bright anymore, that is a big ledge that went around the whole exhibit. Just like the first dragon, when we got there he was hiding up on that ledge. We could barely see a hint of a leg or tail every couple seconds. And then.....he started climbing down (with an embarrassing fall at the end), proceeding to crawl right up to Seth.....

I mentioned to Seth how disappointed he would have been if both of the dragons were hiding the whole time and why he thought they came out at the EXACT moment we walked up to each place. He wasn't sure. I asked him Who controls all of the animals.......
Later we did the penny machine where you get the squished penny with the print of an animal on it. Seth's was the komodo dragon and he told me he was going to keep it forever and every time he looked at it, he would think about God ❤❤❤ Start saving those moments now, baby! They will be so important in life.

Score 2 for Lucas!

Water cows! They were fun to watch!

They had this glass bubble that you could get right into, almost like you were sitting right on top of them! She was hesitant, though!

Feeding all the hungry monkeys!

❤ So thankful! ❤

😂😬 Never know when that camera is rolling!

One thing I thought Mia would love but she would NOT get up close LOL

Kylie was obsessed! 😂❤

Fiona the famous hippo was the reason the boys picked this zoo!

We think we found her!

It looks like a dinosaur under the water!

Mia wanted nothing to do with these giraffes either - or if you ask her, they were cheetahs! Maybe that's why she was scared LOL

Another score for Seth! We walked up literally one minute before she went into her hut. Thank you Lord for being sweet to my boy today, even in something so sweet and little - he saw You!

Poor Daddy missed out on his rhinos, we never got to spot them!
But the kiddos had a blast, new buddies scored with their piggy banks and onto another adventure!

Such a neat grocery store! Food from so many different places.
It would be an epic date night if you have one near you and enjoy trying/cooking new things!

The kids got to see even more animals at Tyler's parents house!

And lots of time just chilling with friends.......

Reminiscing from Jeremy's college days.......

And to put a cap on the trip the adults waited until the kids were in bed for a nice dinner & game night!

Jeremy and I woke up at 4:30, loaded the car, woke the kids up and started our trip. We prepared for one hell of a day - knowing we could stop for the night, but REALLY wanting to just get home.......

We stopped as often as we needed to, took a nice long lunch & dinner break, watched way too many movies & Cocomelon, had extra snacks and treats - and MADE IT HOME in just 15 hours! 😂😂😂

The kids were honest rockstars! Love the memories we were able to make and thankful for everyone who hosted us and made it even easier ❤
