Lucy Selene Thomas

 Our family just got bigger!!!
Jeremy and I now have 5 nieces and 3 nephews!!!

Lucy Selene Thomas made her debut yesterday, February 26th at 11:06am ~ 7lbs 1 oz 19 1/2 inches

She is absolutely precious and no, I am not biased! For anyone that doesn't know my sister-in-law, she looks just like her mommy! I am currently looking into the prices of buying a personal jet, because this is just killing me!!! I must snuggle this little angel. She is so loved already and I know that will only grow, especially after we get to meet her : ) Congrats Nathan and Lana, you guys are going to be awesome parents! Lucy is surely blessed to have you.

We love you all!!!

Games!

Just like when I was growing up, we got to play a lot of games. Especially after their adventurous trip down here, they didn't want to do much that first day.

I think this game was a Cranium game. Mom and I were on a team and Jeremy and Dad were on a team. One of the categories would have you try to get your partner to guess something by moving THEIR arms and legs like charades : )

Then sometimes you had to do it by yourself ; )

3 of my most favorite people in the world : )

I'm so thankful that they were able to make the trip down, I know it wasn't an easy one : )

Many memories <3

Part 2

After taking them to visit our church on Sunday we took them to our favorite Japanese steakhouse (you know, where the cook the food right in front of you) for lunch. I failed to get any pictures of that, but it was delicious. We again needed to walk off our meal (this happened a lot) so we drove into Charleston to do a little site seeing...

Mom loved the streets...

...and the million little alley ways

Dad standing in front of the Customs building!

: )

He will talk to anybody! I think he regretted this one though - this guy told him how he was "having trouble in the lady department, if you know what I mean." He just wanted some information about the building! LOL

I told mom I bet I could jump from the building to the tree, like in Pollyanna - she was trying to show me how far away it was and that I would not make it! hahaha

The "Holy City"
Mom kept on seeing things named Holy City this and Holy City that, she didn't know what that was all about until we went downtown : )

Love.of.my.life.

The lizard will end our Charleston adventures : )

Adventures in Charleston, Part 1

After dinner at the Brewery we needed to walk around until our dinner settled and ended up here...

We stumbled upon this pineapple fountain with a silly sign...

.....the other side of the sign was too funny not to take a picture of! LOL

(more adventures to come)

New things

While they were up (or rather down) visiting, Mom & Dad got to try lots of new things!

A "hot & fresh" Krispy Kreme Donut

Perfectly Franks! As you can see it was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and was a big hit with them, too!
Dad got the Franklin Pierce which is a hotdog with white bbq sauce, bacon and crispy onions on it. Along with an Aretha Franklin which has pulled pork, bbq sauce, coleslaw and crispy onions on it. Mom got the Frank Gifford which has their homemade chili, cheese and coleslaw on it : )

When they visited last year, mom and I stumbled upon this restaurant in downtown Charleston looking for a bathroom one day, so we had to go back and try it this time.
It was a Brewery/Smokehouse, so you know someone was a happy man!

He couldn't make a decision...luckily they had a sampler : )

Mom and I waving from the second story...

Bradysitting!

Last Wednesday our friends needed their little 4 legged boy watched. My parents were supposed to get in Thursday evening (although our second random ice storm delayed them until Friday afternoon), but it actually worked out great since we stay at their place when we watch him and they have a lot more room than we do at our apartment, so my parents just stayed there with us!

So while I am uploading and editing pictures from their visit, here are a few of us and our furry friend!

These two are each others favorites...
