A work in progress...

Here's a little peak at all the work we did last weekend/week when Jeremy's parents were here!

NASTY carpet cleaning!

But then the peanut was able to come play : ) We came over and did some little jobs while Dada had to go back to work.

The box was like the best toy EVER! He slid it all over the place.

And of course, he was a GREAT helper!

We can't thank them enough for coming! If they hadn't been here, we probably still wouldn't have anything done yet! Stay tuned for the "final product"! : )

Who knew...

...how fun a tennis court could be!
I'm not sure why I never thought of this before, but yesterday Seth and I went on a little field trip to the tennis court!

(don't mind the awful quality, my phone was all I had)

Of course, we had to check out the net and all of the weeds!

This was him about 10 minutes after we got back home : )

Love taking him on "adventures"! Also, I forgot my camera at the house again last night so there are no 9 month shots or house updated pictures : ( They will both be worth the wait though!

Happy Thursday!

Oops

Well, today was supposed to be cute baby post day. Our little man's 9 month shots! But, I woke up to realize that my camera is at the house so, I won't be able to do them : ( Sad, sad!

But, Jeremy and I are going over there tonight to do a few things, so I'll grab it and hopefully get them posted tomorrow!

And then you'll get to see a house update! Y'all - I'm so stinkin' excited! It looks like a completely different place after some paint, clean carpets and some final touches. I was excited to become a home owner and get out of this apartment before, but now I just can't stand it! Moving day is Saturday! WOOHOOOOO!!!!

Happy Wednesday everybody : )

Spring break

Before life gets anymore ahead of me, I need to catch up on a couple posts! The week after my parents were here, Jeremy had spring break. As nice as it would have been for him to be off while they were here so we could enjoy time all together, it was even more nice for it to be just our little family. One thing about having family so far away, is when you have time off you are either going to them or they are coming to you and you end up needing a vacation from your vaction. Don't get me wrong, I'll be exhausted forever if it means time with family and I love every single second of it, but boy was it nice to just sit around all week with my little family and do whatever we wanted to do - even if that was nothing! There was of course, lots and lots of Dada time. We both got used to having him around and it was so hard that following Monday morning....

He won't even let us go to the bathroom anymore!

Gramma and Bompa got him his first pair of shoes while they were here, so we had to try them out on a little walk! I can't believe he will be taking off in them sooner rather than later!

Our Easter Sunday was delayed a week with some sickness, but we put on our Sunday best and had a friend snap a few shots!

We did a little shopping for some much needed items in our wardrobes and in the very first store this little peanut strolled out with a new soccer ball. First a balloon, now a soccer ball - Dada's taste is getting more expensive for his little boy!

Love these boys to the moon and back! <3

We're home owners!

Officially, at 4pm today! It is absolutely surreal that we are buying a house. We've been ready for a long time, but it was such an exhausting process I never thought we'd get here!

The last time I posted about our house we were going to look at a brand new home that was being built. Yeah, that didn't happen. I decided after that, that I was going to stop posting our house hunting adventures, because every time we thought we had one and I would share it, something would fall through.

My last update was on Thursday saying how we were going to the new place on Friday to talk to the listing agent and that our realtor told us to bring our checkbook. Well, that evening we got the tentative numbers and it just wasn't going to happen. We didn't want to stretch ourselves so thin that we wouldn't be able to do anything other than sit in this house we just bought. So we told our realtor that we didn't need to waste anyone's time. Almost immediately, she had some houses that she wanted us to look at, so that's where we went Friday. Between Thursday and Monday we thought we were buying 3 different houses. I won't get into the whole story, because it would be incredible confusing to read on here, but the Lord was leading us to the house we are buying tonight and seeing that all unravel - to be able to look back and actually see that's what was going on - is incredible. It makes it so much more exciting to know that God picked this house for us. He closed other doors, when we were pushing them so hard - just for this house. We had our final walk through yesterday and I was able to snap some pictures of it all empty.

Front door...

Go through the door to the left of the front door and you have the garage...Jeremy has many plans for this : )

Standing in the front door, to the left is the dining room...

To the right is the living room....how gorgeous is that sliding glass door and fireplace?!?

Out the sliding door to our little "patio" and back yard...we plan to continue the fence to enclose the yard.

Closet off the living room...

Kitchen - WITH a pantry : )

Down the hallway....
Kitchen is the first doorway on the left, then there is a closet up further on the left. Bathroom is the first doorway on your right, then Seth's room - our bedroom is straight ahead!

Closet...

Bathroom - with linen closet!

Seth's room!

His closet...

For some reason the picture of our bedroom is black, but here is the master bathroom...

And of course, I didn't take any pictures of the front of the house? LOL Here is one from the original listing pictures though...We will have a picture taken with us in front of it soon : )

Jeremy's parents are on their way here and we have a weekend full of painting and cleaning in store!
