Well here we are, just one month before our baby turns a year old. I've said it before and I'll say it again - HOW?! Everyone tells you that time flies but there is no way of comprehending just how quickly it does. Friends of ours just had a baby and we went over and brought them dinner. Their son weighed 7lbs 9oz (bigger than Seth was) and he felt like a feather. I can't remember even the slightest little bit Seth ever being that small and it breaks my heart! Gah! Being a Mommy is hard sometimes, in good ways and bad.
Our little man is all over the place. He started walking on Mother's Day and in less than a week he was acting like he had been doing it his whole life. He is practically running now. He is his own little person and into everything. He loves to push his tractor around the living room. Pretty much the cutest thing I've ever seen (how many times have I said that in the past 11 months?) He is the best little peek-a-booer. He is obsessed with things that are stacked or balanced. He must knock them over and then works so hard to get them stacked back up. But, he gets very frustrated when things are not able to be stacked on top of each other. He has recently started loving his drums, too - since he is obsessed with smacking his high chair tray. Nothing should be neatly put away and everything needs to be thrown or pushed onto the floor. Let's just say he is 100% boy.
He says Da-da, Na-na (mama), clicks his tongue and understands 'walk', 'outside', 'puppy' and 'eat' among other things. He is eating everything we do and drinking milk now. He loves to hold onto his fork while I stab food and then put it into his mouth all by himself. He loves thinking he is big stuff - which is constantly. The other day he put his triangle shape into the triangle hole. Probably a pure coincidence but I freaked out hahaha He still grunts at everything, bath time and being outside are still his favorite. I found his 5th tooth yesterday, they are harder to see now that they aren't right in the front. My baby sure isn't a baby anymore! He had his first ear infection last week. I hate him being sick but I love getting some snuggles. It feels good to be needed as he grows older and more independent.
Sitting still is his least favorite thing to do, so pictures become super fun - but Dada helped us get some!
