Birthday mornings tend to look the same around here. Donuts, breakfast meat of some kind and a hot chocolate party!
For the first time, party day was on birthday day! After breakfast, we got right into finishing touches and party mode! This year he chose Christmas as his theme - a boy after my own heart!
Great Grandpa built the boys a fort!
Their room got a makeover to fit one of his presents.....
More presents got broken into!
Going to see fireworks didn't work out that evening,
but we had some fun of our own.....
7 years! He loves sports, superheros, coloring, books, playing games & doing puzzles. He has a great imagination and will often play out things that he sees on TV or reads about. He is really good about trying new foods and has a much better palate than his brother. This too gets turned into imaginative play upstairs and is always asking me what things I put together when cooking. He and Lucas still have a love/hate relationship. They can be the best of friends and incredibly sweet together. And a moment later they are getting on each others nerves and fighting about everything under the sun. He is a great big brother to Kylie and is very excited for Mia to get here! I think he is both excited for and scared of 2nd grade. The "bigness" of it feels exciting for him but he is always telling Lucas how hard and terrible 1st grade was LOL I can't wait to see where this year takes us with him!
