August!

Not only did we come home from vacation sick, we also came home to a very sick kitty. She had some concerning symptoms before we left, but we thought she was improving. When we got home she had gotten much worse and after giving it some time, we knew something was wrong.....

We took her in to get checked out and they found cancer on her kidney. Vet clinics for some reason are extremely booked up lately and we couldn't even get her an appointment with a specialist before time would take her from us (according to our vet's prognosis). We were having to keep her locked in the basement because she was having bathroom accidents and the vet told us that she was definitely in pain from it all, so we made the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye.

She was our family's first pet. The first pet ever for Jeremy and the kids. And she was a cat like no other. She would sit in the window when it was time for Jeremy to come home. She would run to the door to greet us. She didn't have one bad bone in her body. Incredibly sweet to the kids no matter how hard they pulled and the sweetest snuggler to us all.

It's hard enough to say goodbye on your own, but when you have kids it's tripled. I think they have come to terms with it all. We made a picture book of her that we look through often and they will still mention that they miss her from time to time, but the tears are gone. They are already asking for a new kitty LOL Jeremy and I have told them that Mommy and Daddy aren't ready for that (I don't know if I ever will be) so we are thinking of what other pets could join our family!

A fish or hamster are on the table for now.

In happier news, Jeremy and I celebrated our 10-year Anniversary!

We went to Plattsburgh to do some shopping and went all out with our lunch date - he grabbed Chick-Fil-A and I grabbed sushi, we met in the mall cafeteria 😅
(Please sing "Fancy Like by Walker Hayes" now LOL)

We did have a much fancier and absolutely delicious dinner on our way home. I'm ever so thankful for this man God partnered me with. The past 4 years have been our hardest, but I know that whatever life throws at us we will come together and walk through it. We've overcome so much but we've celebrated even more! He is the most supportive and helpful partner. He works hard to provide for our family so that I can stay home as a Mom. I look forward to this next chapter and the many changes ❤

We got the pack-n-play set up in our room.....

And our church blessed us with a diaper shower!

The kids did one of their favorite summer activities!

Miss Mia continued to grow.....

.....and the braxton hicks became REAL! These two pictures are moments apart but check out the difference! Never captured that before!

Lucas had a concerning rash and got put on lyme medication.....

We were told dairy mixed with the medicine would upset his stomach, so after his 10 days were up we had an ice cream party!

The boys had their soccer season! They didn't get to play much between vacation and sickness, but they had fun!

Daddy took Seth golfing!

And the boys had a campout!

After marshmallows and "scary stories", I went inside and left them to their boys' night! They made it the whole night outside and the girls' joined them for breakfast in the morning!

Then it was Lucas' turn to go golfing!

Kylie loves corn on the cob - even if it's not cooked yet!

💜💜💜

Bowling was on our to-do list while on vacation, but it didn't work out so we promised we'd take them before the summer ended. Well the bowling placed was closed for renovations and after going golfing with Daddy they were pumped for some mini-golf!

They had some animals you could feed, too!

And so many frogs!!!!

Of course summer can't end without a beach trip!

Mommy got a fresh haircut and a quiet lunch!

Our garden was terrible this year. We planted extra tomatoes so I could make a bunch of fresh sauce that we fell in love with last year. I have no idea what happened but all of our tomatoes tasted TERRIBLE and we couldn't even eat them. Our strawberry plants gotten eaten by birds and our lettuce barely came in. Cucumbers were about all that did anything. We will have to change something up next year! Anywho, my mom came over to help me clear everything out and had the cutest helper!

And theeeeeeen, this happened!

Normally we wouldn't have started until after labor day with the rest of the kids, but Daddy had to go back the week prior for all of his meetings and such, so we decided to jump in since we'd end up taking time off for Mia. Which means Daddy was home for pictures for once!

First day of school blessings 😍

He may hate me for posting this but, he documented it sooo.....

Everybody's dog does this, right?

We drove home in a wretched storm one day. Just as we were turning onto our road Seth starts yelling out the window.....

Now September has started and we are in baby mode! Everything is prepped and we are just waiting on her! We asked Jeremy's grandpa to make us a new bookshelf for the living room so I could use the old white one in the girls' room for more storage. Since our books are overtaking the house, we went ahead and "ordered" two!

(there will be another crib where the carseat is soon)

I'll leave you with this squishy face! Hopefully my next post will include one outside the womb!
