I've been watching the sourdough train for a while now but I truly don't think I can keep one more thing alive in this house 😂 I did however try my hand at a "no knead artisan" bread that is incredibly easy and divine!!!
It's a good thing it's pretty!
Every year I hear people complain about the snow and I always say "It's the north country and it's February, what do you expect?!" But this year I am so over it!!!! The seasonal blahs definitely got me and I need the warm sun in my life 🌞
Watching him watch her melts me!
And hearing her talk also melts me....."piggy wiggies!"
The big game happened!
You may be able to tell only one of us was interested.....
I'm thankful his heart wasn't crushed too deeply. The whole game prepped him for the loss & a fun sleepover on the new couch helped!
We are kind of obsessed with it!
Babies don't keep.......but they sleep the same!
Time for our annual sledding adventure!
And then we got DUMPED on!
I don't remember ever getting so much snow before.......
And even after the snow stopped the wind did not, which always kills us!
We got ourselves out to go help my parents and Grandma......
.......but that wind I mentioned didn't let us get back home 😂
More progression pictures of the snow/wind.....
& they all got great reports!
If you haven't fallen in love with Forest Frank yet, you are missing out! We ALL ask to listen to/sing him on repeat!
It's an activity we've thought of for a long time but always put it off, especially as the girls came along and there's always a little one that can't quite keep up. But my parents asked us to go to Canada with them so we decided we needed to get some practice in. Jeremy and I didn't even know each other could skate LOL & the boys had never been before! After 15 minutes I was about to text my mom and say count us out! But when the hour ended they were doing SO well!
Meanwhile.....
We started reading "The Chronicles of Narnia" with the boys!
I gave this girl her first piggy tails last summer and traumatized her. She hasn't let me do them since and truly doesn't even like her hair being touched at all. But after Beba gave her a pony while we were skating she asks for them daily!
She got this friend for Valentine's day and as soon as it came out of the package she added it to her TERRIFIED list (which is very random and long - something gets added on the daily). But just as randomly as things get added, they come off. They are best buds, now!
Matching pants!
Dancing it out is always the answer at our house!
Time to skate the canal!
I really have to brag on Lucas with this!
In true little brother fashion, he lives in Seth's shadow most days. Some of it is inflicted by Seth, some of it is self-inflicted. Even if he's engineering his legos, it's usually in the privacy of his room. But he was a very quick natural with ice-skating and his brother was not! Lucas was thriving and soaking up his talent, while Seth's personality doesn't handle seeing that or struggling very well. It was so hard for this Momma to watch, but I know it was so good for BOTH of them.
& even amid his struggle, I'm proud of Seth for trying, having fun through it all and conquering it!
More Forest Frank! (if you don't know, then you won't know LOL)
Haters gonna hate but one of my favorite high protein lunches! Tuna & spicy mustard, avocado and cottage cheese dipped with doritos!
Jeremy has already started picking on me but I've fallen into a cottage cheese pit 😂 He wasn't complaining about homemade cottage cheese bagels though (even though I didn't perfect them yet)!
Stay tuned for more yummy food & hopefully warmer weather!!!
