We were supposed to have the whole week off with Dada, but one hurricane or another messed that up as usual. I kept thinking he had to work Monday-Wednesday though so when Tuesday afternoon rolled around we were all pretty happy that vacation had started! Wednesday night Momma got a night off and enjoyed some delicious sushi with a sweet friend. Then we had a simple, quiet Thanksgiving just the 4 of us - but pretty perfect none-the-less!
The turkey was a bit chaotic this year. I woke up and read the directions on the turkey bag, figured out the timing and went about our day. When it came time to prep the bird I found there were directions inside of it which had the cooking time almost doubled. Turns out, the turkey bag was right so I'm glad I checked it when I put the stuffing in!
Turkey, Stuffing, rolls, gravy, a new creamed corn recipe (which was disgusting), olives and cranberry sauce!
No pie lovers around here.....
Thanksgiving isn't complete without football.....
Friday morning we headed off to the children's museum! I love it when we go and they have changed things up!
Last year with our Thanksgiving leftovers, we made waffles out of stuffing and then topped it with turkey gravy. We were a little disappointed in them, so this year we tried something else...
They were TO DIE FOR and Jeremy has now decided that anything we have leftovers of should get put into an egg roll LOL
Saturday night we did a movie and popcorn. Apparently it's the first time we've done real popcorn for them. Lucas starred at his bowl and Seth eating for a good 45 minutes before he took a bite (which for anyone who knows him knows how odd that is)
Jeremy and I sat and watched them instead of the movie.
Love these crazy, sweet boys!!!
(especially when Daddy is home to help lighten the load LOL)
