My oh my how time flies when you're having fun!
I can NOT believe that we are in the third trimester with less than 12 weeks left to go! It seems like just yesterday we were announcing our news. Heck, it seems like just yesterday I was praying for our little one! I had my 28 week checkup yesterday. Everything looks great! His heart beat was at 130 but he quickly start moving around and bumped it up to 140. She measured my fundal height for the first time and I'm measuring at 26 which she said is great. I have been experiencing some braxton hicks contractions. I actually have been for quite some time now and just thought that it was Seth moving around, but while we were in NY my sister informed me that it was actually braxton hicks! My doctor said there is nothing to be concerned about until I have more than 2 an hour. At this point I would say I'm having maybe 3 a day, but I will start keeping track of them a little better since I know what to look for. I've started to produce some milk (sorry to the guys who are reading) and she said that is a great sign of my production and that I should have no issues when it comes to that, so that's a relief! I've been having some issues with my left foot swelling (yes, just my left). She said normally when it's just one side it's on the right, but there is nothing to be concerned about as long as it goes away with elevation, etc. I was concerned that it would make getting exercise rough, but she said it's actually good for it, even when it's swollen as long as I elevate it afterwards. I got my RhoGAM shot which in simplest terms is because my blood type may produce antibodies against the baby since we don't know what blood type he is yet, so it's just a precaution at this point and depending on his blood type after birth I may need another shot. The craziest part is that I have all of my remaining appointments scheduled! I go in 3 weeks, then 3 weeks after that, 2 weeks after that and then weekly until our little guy shows up! So blessed to have a healthy checkup. We can't wait to meet him!
