This post feels SO unfair since I JUST did his 9 month post literally a week ago - but, that was my own fault. Whether I'm on time or not, 10 months have FLOWN by with our little peanut being here with us. I literally can't even talk about it. I may or may not have already teared up this morning as I sat here and watching him independently "reading" his books and playing. And I may or may not be tearing up again right now.....sigh! Being a Momma is so bittersweet! There is nothing sweeter than watching him learn and grow. Every day it is something new with him and there is nothing that can make me smile so quickly and easily as he does. But oh it pulls at my heart strings when I think about JUST being pregnant with him! Begging for him to come into the world and then starring into his eyes for the first time....okay, I can't go down that road right now!
It is so crazy to me the amount of things that change in just one month. I always think to myself, what will I have to update on this month? Not that much has changed - but then I get going and before you know it I have a huge list.
His "vocabulary" has increased greatly. He used to just gurgle but now he goes around saying "ga-ga-ga-ga-ga", "ba-ba-ba-ba-ba", "ay-ya-ya-ya-ya" and "da-da-da-da-da". Sometimes he throws them all in together and it actually sounds like he is trying to talk : ) When he isn't "talking" he is grunting - at everything! Especially other children or animals! It's so funny how he can spot them. I'm not sure if the grunting means he wants them or if he just really wants to be able to talk! He now laughs at his toots which Dada thinks is the best thing ever hahaha
He just about has 4 teeth now. His top two have started to make their appearance. I can see the full line of his one and just the tip of the second one. For the most part, I still swear by the amber teething necklace, although yesterday I think they were bothering him a bit.
New foods include:
Salmon, cucumber, cantaloupe, mandarin oranges, pumpkin bread and I'm not sure when I started giving him this, but he absolutely loves toast with cream cheese. He still absolutely hates avocado.
His favorite things:
The vacuum
Going outside
Books
Balls
And randomness that include: styrofoam, command strip velcro pieces, amazon gift cards and string ties...I have no clue lol
He has two walking toys that are not at all annoying (note sarcasm). He would play with them forever if I didn't try and distract him with something else, or hide them behind the couch for a half an hour hahaha He has gotten so smart about it. He will walk with them the right way until he runs into something and then he will walk around to the front of them and push them backwards until he runs into something. Super proud of his thought process there - but I used to be happy when he ran into the wall and had to stop using it hahaha
He is such a good boy and I am so proud to be his Mommy. I could elaborate on this for ever, but it's really just that simple. I am blessed.
Silliness!
"Pfftttttttt"
"Can we be done now, Mom?"
Did you get a smaller football? :(
