4 months!

(Nevermind the fact that she'll be 5 months in 9 days.....😬😂)

It seems like its been longer and shorter all at the same time. Ever since COVID hit, I'm astonished at how quickly time is going by and to think it's already been a year since the pandemic set is just unbelievable. April of 2021 already.....yet at the same time, it's hard to imagine life without our Kylie. The missing puzzle piece that we longed and prayed for. 

Since her 2 month well check she gained over 2 pounds and grew over 2 inches. She now weighs 12lbs 13.4 ounces and is 23.82 inches long.  The doctor was very impressed and said she thinks she will stand before she rolls (she has only done belly to back twice) and will walk before she crawls. If you grab her arms she immediately pulls herself up to sit and if you stand her up she picks up one foot after the other as if walking. We got the green light to start playing with foods so we have been enjoying that. She stays awake for a longer chunk of time in the evening before her bonus feed and bedtime, so it works out perfectly to give her a little snack of different foods during that time frame. We aren't replacing any milk at this point, but she's been enjoying being big stuff. 

She will sit and play in her bumbo, her bouncy seat and will lay on her back or belly with toys as well. Being held by Mommy is still her favorite so we both LOVE our chimparoo carrier. At the time I thought it was an outrageously expensive purchase that I felt guilty about for quite some time. But now, 5+ years and 3 kids later I couldn't be more thankful for it. I think Kylie has already gotten the most use out of it. 

She is quick to give out smiles and has the best belly laugh. She is also a very big fan of Phoebe and even when she grabs a big chunk of her skin/fur, Phoebe is very patient with her. She usually wakes up once a night, but since she's in bed by 8PM I try not to complain too much 😜 She will suck her fingers/thumb when she is awake and playing but when she is tired she wants her paccy. She's also discovered her piggies and loves to holler at and suck on them!

My two favorite things that she does right now:

- When she sees you, she smiles with her whole face and brings her hands up to her mouth like she is just so excited she can't contain it

- She will reach out with both of her hands and touch your face as if she's memorizing it and then after just a few seconds she will pull you in while hollering with an open mouth as if she is going to eat your face off
